Location: Our school is located on the spectacular southern coast of Spain in the Province of Malaga.   Located just west of the Jet Set Capital, Puerto Banus-Marbella, we are close to all the action. Approximately a 45 minute drive from Malaga Airport.  Approximately a 35 minute drive from Gibraltar Airport. Ground transportion not provided from the airport across the border.    It is necessary to walk and pick up vehicular transportation once you´ve crossed the frontier into Spain. Lodging & Transportation: We are located between two five star hotels, and a multitude of lesser hotels abound. Taxi service is quite efficient between Malaga and the Marbella area, as well as from Gibraltar. Buses do run from Malaga and from the frontier gate at Gibraltar. The train inconveniently stops in Fuengirola, making it impractical. All major rental car agencies are located at Malaga airport.   Rental cars from Gibraltar are not feasible due to the political relations between Spain and Gibraltar. Restaurantes: The Costa del Sol is replete with restaurants, from the traditional Spanish "venta" to the most upscale and everything in between. We´re sure you will find several to suit your taste and your budget.  Your natural tendency to eat early may be overcome here, because most people go out to dine at 9:30, order at 10:30, finish their meals by 12:30 or 1:00 and continue to enjoy the ambience of the restaurant for another hour or two or else take advantage of the night life. Entertainment: Blessed with more than 300 days of sunshine per year, we´re right on the beach, within 30 minutes of more than 75 golf courses, and only 1 1/2 hours from the Sierra Nevada and ski country (winter skiing only - were not in the Alps, you know.).  There are two casinos, one in Marbella and one near Gibraltar, and, of course, we have night clubs and bars open until the sun comes up. Sight Seeing: Want to see the sights?  Granada and the great Alhambra are 1 1/2 hours away.  Sevilla and the world´s 2nd largest cathedral are only 3 hours away.   And, Ronda, with its historic 2,000 year old Roman bridge and the world´s first bull ring are only 1 hour away.   Tour Gibraltar to see what all the fuss is about.   Don´t forget the monkeys on the Rock.  Morocco and Tangiers are only 1 hour away by ferry across and through the famous Straits of Gibraltar. Opportunities to Speak Spanish: Spanish speakers?  They are everywhere, so there´s plenty of opportunity to put into practice the day´s lesson. Should I Complete the Book and then come to School, or... ? You can do either the self-study at home, using just the book, and spend time refining your Spanish skills in the school, or you start from scratch when you get to the school.   Either way, you will be well on your way to becoming a relaxed speaker of Spanish by the end of your stay on the Costa del Sol.
